Shh, Be quiet!

Sorry for the lack of up... wait, why am I whispering?

This blog entry is more of a general update than a tale of my latest journey. Recently I moved into my new apartment so my time has been limited what with moving in and being stuck with a 56k internet connection for a week - what hell!
Not having much time recently to dedicate to a dungeon crawl means I've been moping around in Telon, seeing alot of new sights and exploring new lands. Recently I got my first boat: a Jade Green Caravel from a very kind guild member. Within minutes I was sailing the high seas of Qalia, past shrines of fallen civilizations, past the ashened skies surrounding Mount Stiirhad, down past the Tehatamani empire and finally ending up at the Bridge of Destiny.

Christmas content

In the true spirit of the holidays, SOE granted adventures, crafters (and eventually diplomats) a 50% increase to exp gain. Starting at the Monday server restart and finishing the following Tuesday. I took the opportunity to do some crafting. If there's any low teen level Disciples or Monks on Halgar, send me a tell and I'll make you a free martial staff.

The recent developer interview revealed that even Santa Claus is present in Vanguard (I heard he's the final boss in APW). A small part of the Christmas content was patched to test this week, with Christmas trees popping up at Khal.

Underneath the tree are some clickable gifts containing housing decorations and other goodies. A Christmas themed mount is also to come. Also on test; The doors of the Ancient Port Warehouse are now open to those brave adventurers of the test server.

Over at the Voyages of Vanguard podcast, Troy and Karen have put together two new podcasts. On the second show, Troy and Karen welcome Machail from Ten Ton Hammer onto the show. Machail sheds some light on what is to be expected in the Ancient Port Warehouse.

While on the subject of Podcasts, the latest SOE podcast features the Vanguard Director of Development: Thom Terrazas who speaks about some items mentioned in his producers letter. The internet starts at 21 minutes in for those who don't wish to listen to the whole thing. You can download it here.

That's it for now, I'll leave you with some screenshots from my travels.
